When your Head Hits the Pillow, Consider Organic

Have you ever traveled and while the bed was comfortable enough your pillow was either too high or too low?  You keep making adjustments and finally find a somewhat comfortable shape.  Pillows are an important part of the sleep equation and at the Healthy Bed Store we carry an extensive array of organic pillows.

Pillows are very personal.  A great pillow for you may not work for your spouse or significant other.  Each of us needs a pillow that fits our body type and sleep style.  Fortunately not only do we carry a wide selection of pillows we also know that you need time in the store to try out various options.  Pillows are not returnable so it’s important to not rush the selection process.

If you are considering a new mattress but aren’t sure yet if you want to go organic you may want to consider starting with an organic pillow.   There ‘s nothing closer to your head than your pillow, in fact the pillow has been called the “bed for the head”.  And a certified organic pillow gives you peace of mind that the pillow beneath your head has been third-party certified to a very strict standard.

We suggest finding a mattress that has a similar feel to what you have at home and try out a few different options.  Generally it is easy to eliminate the pillows that don’t work.  Once you’ve narrowed your options you can spend additional time trying these out until you’ve made your selection.

Some of these pillows come overstuffed and customizable.  That means you can unzip the pillow and take out excess fill until you find the height that is right for you.  We suggest keeping the excess as later on, you may want to add it back especially with a wool pillow that tends to compress over time.  We also carry contour pillows for a little extra support for the head and neck.
