Sleep Cooler with Sheets from the Healthy Bed Store in Folsom, CA

When the temperature soars it's often harder to fall asleep and stay asleep.  Warm rooms and heat build-up aren’t conducive to the cool 65 degrees often recommended for a good night's sleep.  But concern for our bank account or the environment keeps us from setting the thermostat that low. 

There is something you can do though to keep yourself cooler in warm weather and that is to find the right set of sheets. Just as no one mattress is right for everyone, no single set of sheets is going to fit everyone’s preference and comfort needs.  But we do think there are several fabrics that tend to sleep cooler and we want to highlight them for you.

A more recent entry to the cool sheet category is blended rayon and cotton.  The rayon is made from bamboo and in my experience these sheets definitely sleep cooler.  In fact they are usually the first sheets I first put on when summer comes and the first sheets I put away in winter.  I have a set of these sheets for my guest room and use them when out of town friends or relatives visit during the triple digit months.

Another product to consider is the Tencel®Sheet Sets from Malouf.  Tencel® is derived from botanical fibers and is considered by some to be the most environmentally friendly fabric in the sheet line-up.   An additional benefit of the Malouf sheets is what Malouf calls their universal fit. Malouf sheets work on mattresses from 6” to 22”.  This is quite a range and can be the answer to the difficulty of finding sheets that fit those extra thin or extra thick mattresses.
