Rest Easy on An Organic Hybrid Mattress from OMI

If you are reading this blog you are probably already aware of the importance of sleep. Sometimes sleep seems elusive and we wake up almost as tired as when we went to bed.   

There are many sleep tips on the Internet, including eating the right foods or taking a warm shower. These things can help improve the quality of your sleep.  But if you are having trouble sleeping you may want to ask yourself if you have the right mattress.  And if the answer is no, we have a suggestion for you.

Our friends at OMI, Organic Mattresses, Inc. have always been a leader in certified organic latex mattresses.  Recently they introduced a new collection of hybrid mattresses, called REST®, an inspired name because isn’t that what we all want and need, a restful night’s sleep.  

There are three models in the REST®. Collection and they all combine a pocketed coil core (or bottom layer) with a GOLS-certified organic latex comfort layer.  We have two of the REST® collection in our Folsom showroom, the Rossa™ and the Clara Nouveau™. 

The Rossa™ is a customizable mattress with your choice of soft, medium or firm certified organic latex as the top layer.  For an additional charge you can choose sculpted latex and that’s a great option for side sleepers who need pressure relief for their hips or shoulders. These layers are encased in OMI’s signature woven GOTS-Certified organic cotton quilted cover with GOTS-certified organic wool as the flame barrier.  The total depth of the mattress is approximately 12”.

The Clara Nouveau™ is also a hybrid mattress available with a plush GOLS-certified organic latex top layer.  Or for an additional charge you can opt for a sculpted layer.  The Clara Nouveau has a knit quilted cover that adds additional surface comfort to the mattress.  The total depth of the mattress is approximately 12.5”.

Due to the spacing of the pocketed coil core both the Rossa™and Clara Nouveau™ require a wood-slat foundation with slats no wider than 1” apart.  Or an alternative is to add OMI’s Supplemental Foundation Layer (SFL™) to a conventional foundation.  The design of the SFL™ prevents the coils from resting on an open space.   Our knowledgeable sales staff can provide you with more information and walk you through your options.
