Looking for an Organic Mattress Pad or Protector

At the Healthy Bed Store in Folsom, CA we know that you want to protect your new organic mattress.  Buying organic is important to you and you may wonder what’s the best organic protector or pad for your new mattress?  We have a few organic protectors or pads that are also GOTS certified.  GOTS stands for Global Organic Textile Standard and it is one of the most rigorous standards in the industry.

We strongly recommend a mattress protector or pad for your organic mattress because you want to keep your mattress looking like new for years to come.  The level or protection that is right for you depends on your needs and preferences.   

For the highest level or moisture protection we suggest Gotcha Covered Pure Collection Organic Mattress Protector, our most popular organic mattress protector.  Fitted sheet style and made from certified organic cotton jersey the protector is soft and could even be used as a bottom sheet. The cotton is lined with food-grade polyurethane film.  The film does not leach chemical or toxins.  It’s arguably the most environmentally friendly waterproof protector on the market.

There are two other products to consider if you are less concerned with moisture control.  This first is a Certified Cotton Flannel Mattress Pad by OMI. Two layers of 8.5 oz. certified organic cotton flannel have been quilted together and tape finished by hand, with wide elastic corner straps. Pads are seamless and provide surface protection from perspiration and staining. The flannel pad is machine washable.

The other is a Certified Organic Wool Moisture Pad by OMI.  This pad is naturally moisture resistant but not waterproof and can be used to protect from soiling due to heavy night sweats or other moisture related concerns.  This seamless woven wool protector has elastic corner straps.  The wool pad should be hand washed.
