All Of The Healthy Bed Store Mattresses Are Certified For Content, Durability, Safety and Emissions

That's right - all of our mattresses are made in American family-owned factories and have been third-party tested and certified for content and safety. Most people have no knowledge that mattresses can be certified and what the certifications mean. We are going to give you a short description of what these certifications do mean.

CertiPUR-US - All of the foam in our foam mattresses have this certification. CertiPUR-US is a certification program administered by an independent not-for-profit organization. CertiPUR-US certified foams are:

• made without ozone depleters

• made without PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEP ("Tris") flame retardants

• made without mercury, lead, and other heavy metals

• made without formaldehyde - commonly found in uncertified imported mattresses

• Made without phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission

• Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million)

Oeko-TEX STANDARD 100 -  World-wide independent certification process that tests for harmful substances.  Tests every part of the textiles, latex and glues used in the production of our mattresses for harmful substances and certifies it to be harmless to human health. Being their most stringent testing process, they test for skin contact, air emissions and ingestion - the material can be eaten and pass through the body harmlessly.

This certification covers our Signature Fit and Posh + Lavish mattresses.

Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) - This certification of the entire organic textile supply chain involves inspection and defines world-wide recognized requirements that ensure organic status of textiles, from harvesting of the raw materials, through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing up to the labeling in order to provide a credible assurance to the end purchaser. The processing and manufacturing of the material also consider the environmental, technical quality and human toxicity criteria and social criteria.

This certification covers our Savvy Rest and Signature Fit Organics mattresses.

At The Healthy Bed Store, we have gone above and beyond over most other mattress brands in insuring that our mattresses are the purest and safest you will sleep on. And... unlike most mattress brands, we don't "greenwash" and make false claims about the materials used in our mattresses. If another brand that you are considering is claiming some type of certification, especially imported mattresses, it is best to contact the certification body and see if that company is registered with them. If not, please make them aware of that mattress companies false claims.
