Best Selling Memory Foam Mattress - Serenity GEL with Outlast Technology
This is the mattress that the big name-brand memory foam mattress companies wish they had!
The Serenity GEL mattress with Outlast technology uses two different types of Outlast material in combination with our cooler sleeping CoolRest Gel memory foam for ultimate comfort. Outlast material uses proprietary, phase changing Thermocules to more effectively balance temperature of the sleeper.
Outlast absorbs excess heat when you are too warm and releases it back when you are cold. Using this dynamic temperature balancing, the Outlast cover can help you sleep more comfortably in any season.
2″ Outlast® Cover
- Outlast® material reacts to each sleeper by creating a micro-climate between the sleeper and the cover for individualized temperature regulation
- Outlast® Thermocules™ are a phase changing material that absorb excess heat and release it to the body as needed
- Moisture reduction, not wicking. By actively and dynamically balancing temperature, this cover eliminates moisture before it begins
- Based on technology originally developed for use in astronaut space suits
- Outlast® material is the only product to carry the Certified Space Technology™ for textile application
3″ CoolRest Gel™ Infused Memory Foam
- Advanced Gel infused memory foam helps you sleep cooler and provides improved pressure relief

SO WHAT IS OUTLAST TECHNOLOGY?
Not too Hot, Not too Cold™
Outlast® material was originally designed to help balance temperature in the space suits worn by astronauts. Used in a mattress, Outlast material responds to constantly changing skin temperature and manages heat buildup. This allows sleepers to remain at their ideal sleeping temperature, for a better night’s sleep. The key to this amazing active temperature regulating ability is Outlast®’s patented Thermocules™. Thermocules are embedded in the fabric used in the cover. Underneath this top fabric there is a lining completely coated in Outlast® Thermocules™ for maximum performance. The top fabric is 80% Outlast which is a higher percentage than any other mattress we know of.
How Outlast® Material Works
Outlast® material uses Thermocules™ which are encased microscopic spheres called micro-capsules (similar to how perfume samples are printed in magazines). These microcapsules work on two basic principals; phase changing and thermodynamics. Similar to how water changes from solid ice to liquid water depending on the temperature, thermocules react differently depending on the amount of energy. Excess body heat is absorbed, “charging up” the cooler Outlast® material. Seeking thermal equilibrium, heat is distributed throughout the Outlast® fiber or fabric. When the body temperature becomes cooler than the Outlast® layer, heat cycles back to the body to maintain thermal balance.
Dynamic Temperature Balancing
Traditional insulation relies on trapping warmed air to maintain warmth. In contrast, Outlast® technology is active comfort management. Since Outlast® material works by absorbing excess heat and releasing it as needed, it produces a microclimate between the sleeper and the cover, which allows it to better regulate temperature on an individual basis.
Advanced Moisture Reduction
Outlast® material helps to maintain a more even temperature for the sleeper, it can actually help to reduce sweating, not just wick it away. Outlast® material is designed to keep you from sweating in the first place, which means it can provide better moisture reduction by eliminating the cause of sweating in the first place.
Certified Space Technology™
Originally, Outlast® material was developed for use in space suits to keep astronauts safe from the temperature extremes and vacuum of space. Outlast® is the only company to carry the Certified Space Technology™ certification for textile applications.
